Sex Offender Registry


The Iowa Sex Offender Registry became law on July 1, 1995. At that time, it became required for individuals to register if:
  • They had been convicted or adjudicated of:
    • Criminal offense against a minor
    • Sexual exploitation
    • Sexually violent crime
  • They were incarcerated for the above crimes on or after July 1, 1995
  • They were on probation, parole or work release status for the above crimes

Disaster Preparedness


The Sioux Center Police Department (SCPD) is involved with disaster preparedness, which provides early warning and recovery during the threat of a disaster or severe weather.

Salvation Army


The SCPD also takes part in the Salvation Army program, which provides assistance for people in need.

Family Crisis Center


The Family Crisis Center assists victims of domestic violence and sexual assault by providing emergency shelter, housing and transitional housing. This free service provides help 24 hours a day.
